Idolatry is idolatry—yes, even your kind of representations, reminders, or suggestions of God, whatever they may be, are all idols.
Seeing or seeking beauty as God is seeing or seeking Satan as god, because God is Spirit and no beautiful thing or sentiment.
Images of crosses to represent God are just as wrong as images of animals to represent God, because God cannot be represented by any thing or form.
The most beautiful images, paintings, photographs, or statues cannot represent, remind, suggest, or lead to God—but only to Satan or appearances as god.
Images of a crown of thorns, a father figure, a robed man, bibles, candles, churches, clouds, doves, praying hands, shepherds, sunsets, or whatever cannot lead to God—but only to Satan or images as god.
