When your body is not feeling well, stop thinking, “I am sick,” or, “My body is sick.”
Realize, think, and compassionately feel, “My body needs help remembering to feel well.”
Refocus your body’s current memories on sensations, feelings, and experiences of health and wellness.
The sooner you switch your body’s focus to feeling better from feeling worse, the sooner your body will recover.
Practice the strategy of switching and never try any of the following strategies with your body’s feelings of sickness—argue, change, compare, complain, condemn, control, deny, judge, or undo—because these strategies usually just make things worse.
