#Impulse #Control: 2015-03-10
Recognize (3Rs) an impulse that is getting you into trouble.
Remove (3Rs) your desire for that impulse by repeatedly facing its negative consequences.
Replace (3Rs) that self-defeating impulse with a choice for one or more strong and positive impulses.
You cannot control one impulse with another impulse, but you will reinforce an impulse that you do not want by trying to control it.
You cannot change one impulse into another impulse, but you will reinforce an impulse that you do not want by trying to change it.
