Two Consciousnesses—Self & Other: 05-23-2025

1. Identity causes attachment to and consciousness of the self; however, it is also used for false selves, such as semantic-objects.
2. Attention causes detachment from and consciousness of the other; however, other consciousness can be misused to observe the self as competing, new, or old false selves that exist as self-constructions.
3. Attachment is understood as becoming one, bonding, commitment, deep connection, extreme dedication, intimacy, joining, and merging.
4. Detachment is understood as abstract distancing, aloofness, disinterest, dispassion, impartiality, indifference, objectivity, open-mindedness, and a scientific attitude.
5. We try to solve our psychological problems with our psychological problems. Our psychological problems exist as semantic-objects, and we try to fight and fix them with more semantic-objects.
